Special Event Products
We are grateful for all donations that allow us to provide clean drinking water to those in need. If you live nearby and can come to one of our special events, you may pick out a product depending on your donation amount. We don’t mail items to keep funds for supporting our mission.
Every product is handcrafted and unique. The wood has been donated to Wood for Water from schools, friends, family and businesses. We purchase the saw blades, sandpaper, glue, oil and other materials used when crafting each piece. Sometimes the project works as planned; sometimes I’m surprised by a lovely curl or grain and change ideas as I go.
Cutting boards, serving boards and cheese boards come in medium and larger sizes. Each one is very different and depends on the donated wood we have and our thoughts on putting it together in a pleasing way. We use food safe glue and oils. We’ve used some lovely wood including mahogany, walnut, black locust, birch, poplar, cedar and sycamore.

Wooden heart necklaces on leather. I made them by slicing a branch into disks, designed freeform hearts and drilled holes so they hang at a jaunty angle. A friend donated some scraps that made lovely necklaces. My friend Marie, a yoga instructor, said she likes how it helps her keep her heart chakra in focus.

Another fun item is a keychain or necklace made from a recovered piano key. The ebony is black through and through! Donation $20 (or more).
