At Wood for Water, we invest funds we raise in organizations with years of experience in providing the access to drinking water the communities need. We choose those that continue to help afterwards to ensure the project continues to help the community.
We research potential partners and evaluate them based on how well they satisfy the criteria we’ve established. The organization will use our funds effectively and build self-sufficiency in the recipient communities, with clean water available equitably.
EOS International is our newest partner. They have 12 years of experience in getting access to clean drinking water in communities in Central America, where 85% of the people lack this access. EOS is impressive in their strategies to make sure folks in the community can maintain their systems and their ongoing connection with each community.
Charity: water is an exceedingly well-run charity so some of our donations in 2019 and 2020 went to them. They will in turn use 100% of the funds to provide sustainable, community-owned water projects and teach healthy sanitation practices.
